bamboo pole dancing ...

YEsterday was the day i looked so ah gua in front of my YEP team mates.

I am grateful though, that Eric wasn't there. If not there would have been an addition to the list of banned personals in Thailand.

The hour before the performance was the most hectic one, with my Thai music lecturer missing in action most of the time, and then throwing the responsibility of arranging everyone to us and some of the other members of the Thai music ensemble. Luckily everyone was coorperative and we managed to modify the dance according to the performance area. Kudos too, to the "sistas" from Chula who helped more than 20 people put on the chongkaben, the thai form of Sarong. I on the other hand managed to pull off the exteremely feminine dance with my dance partner, when we had less than 2 practices together, and less than 30 minutes each time.

As usual, the item together with the Chula musicians was stressful, to the extent my sweat was dripping on my khong wong. Jan jumped to his solo too soon, blah blah, but overall it was one of the best performances the ensemble had

Virgin Dance Performance

Finale - Angklung performance.
The Angklung actually originated from Java and the Thais modified it to suit their own style by having 2 notes to 1 person instead of 1 to 1.

Some of my YEP team mates who came. Thanks for the card people~
